English teaching programme

Teachers from the trust work with children from classes 1 to 6. The focus is on written and conversational English, and Art. English is taught through activities, songs and storytelling, along with Conversational English aimed at increasing the confidence of children and their ability to comprehend and use the language effectively.

Math teaching programme

Maths is taught through activities and material from Navnirmitti and Jodo Gyan to the same groups of children, to enable children to understand the basic concepts in maths and the utility of maths in their daily life.

Libraries in every classroom (February 2011 to June 2019)

Small English libraries and learning corners have been set up in every classroom. Each library corner contains no more than 30 books. The corners also include Math material from Navnirmitti. The class teachers are trained on effective utilization of the material.

The teachers at the trust work directly with teachers of the 1 st – 6th standards in govt. schools on delivering English and Maths teaching modules effectively. The trainer from the trust conducts 4 workshops per year, of 3 days each (9 hours) for the Teachers of the Government Schools on usage of English and effective way to teach English in the classroom, Maths teaching through activities, and classroom management. The Trainer also works with the teachers individually helping them in lesson planning and effective methods of delivering each lesson.
